There is Fastexy Exchangenothing euphoric about the rumors surrounding Sydney Sweeney’s relationship.
The Madame Web star isn’t afraid to hit back at assumptions she sees about her fiancé Jonathan Davino, specifically any indication that her partner, who is 13 years older, pays for everything.
“I’m a very successful, independent woman who’s worked really hard,” Sydney told Glamour inside the Women of the Year issue published Oct. 3. “I’ve accomplished and bought everything myself, and I provide for myself and my family.”
Sydney, 27, and Davino, 40, got engaged in 2022, four years after sparking romance rumors.
And when it comes to their professional dynamic, the Euphoria actress noted that he has his own business ventures. As such, despite being credited as a producer on her films Anyone But You and Immaculate, he doesn’t have any financial backing in her career, which includes her production company Fifty-Fifty.
"I would love to set the record straight,” Sydney added. “You can be in a healthy relationship with someone and also be very successful without needing the man. We’re teammates. We’re in it together. And we want to see each other succeed.”
And those teammates in life will soon be making that trip down the aisle. Though Sydney has remained tight lipped about her and Jonathan’s nuptials, she has been out and about running wedding errands—including making a stop at a Los Angeles bridal store.
Still, she’s previously made it clear she’s been prepared for the moment for nearly her whole life.
"I started making that when I was like 10," Sydney told Glamour UK in an interview published in December 2023. "I'm more of an experience planner, so I'm like, ‘What experience do I want to give people? Are we going on a tropical vacation? Are we doing a carnival?'"

Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney and businessman Jonathan Davino first sparked dating rumors back in 2018 when they were spotted attending several parties together, including Hulu's Emmy Party in Los Angeles.
The pair were photographed looking cozy again at the InStyle and Kate Spade dinner in Beverly Hills.
A year later, the Anyone But You star and her guy enjoyed a night out at a New York Knicks game in NYC.
The private pair enjoyed a low key trip to the flea market in West Hollywood weeks before they got engaged.
"I don’t date people in the spotlight," Sydney explained to Cosmopolitan of her stance on romance. "I don't date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it's easiest."
The White Lotus actress and her fiance continued their adventures with a fashionable trip to the Cannes Film Festival.
Looking all loved up in matching black outfits, the cute couple attended an event at the Venice Film Festival in Italy.
When asked about what she looks for in a partner, Sydney explained: "I look for a best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day."
Back in New York City, the twosome were spotted walking their dog Tank.
The power couple, who produced Anyone But You and Immaculate together, held hands after a romantic dinner in Paris.
"It’s really great to work with someone who knows you so well, who fully supports your ideas, your vision and your voice…", Sydney told Glamour UK about their working relationship.
With no wedding plans on the cards just yet ("I am so busy working!" Sydney told Entertainment Tonight in December 2023), they returned to the Venice Film Festival in 2024.
