It's nice to have a friend like Taylor Swift.
The "Bad Blood" singer was a shoulder for Brittany Mahomes to lean on after her husband Patrick Mahomes suffered an ankle injury during the Kansas City Chiefs' Nov. 4 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As the injury occurred, Taylor, 34—who was there to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce alongside mom Andrea Swift, brother Austin Swift and Travis' mom Donna Kelce—could be seen putting her arm around Brittany, 29, who looked concerned as she watched what was unfolding on the field.
Taylor then cupped her hand over her face in shock as they attempted to figure out how Patrick was feeling as he limped off the field from the injury to his left ankle in the game's fourth quarter.
Luckily for Brittany and Chiefs fans alike, the 29-year-old—who shares kids Sterling, 3, Bronze, 23 months, and is expecting a third baby with his wife of two years—was able to quickly shake off the injury. But Patrick did admit he was concerned there for a moment.
"You feel the pain, and that scares you," he told reporters after the match. "'Cause obviously I've dealt with ankles before, but just kinda laid there. And as time kinda went on the pain subsided—what's the word? Subsided, yeah. Big word for me."
He added, "But it did and so I just kinda got back to it and got back moving again and felt comfortable going out there."
A hurt ankle didn't stop Patrick, Travis and the rest of the Chiefs from beating Tampa Bay, giving Kansas City their eighth victory this season.
It was also a big night for Taylor, who was back at Arrowhead Stadium for her first game since wrapping up her final U.S. show on her Eras Tour. And as with many of her game day appearances, the "Cruel Summer" singer proved what a strong bond she and Brittany have.
And that bond has only grown over the past year as they have enjoyed many double dates with Travis and Patrick, most recently at the U.S. Open in New York in August, where the two were seen embracing and cheering on the athletes.
