Chris Evans may be experiencing the wifey effect.
The Captain America star—who tied the knot with Alba Baptista last year—debuted a shaggy new look as he hit the red carpet for his new holiday blockbuster, Red One, sporting longer brown locks and a fully-grown beard. The 43-year-old showed off his stylish transformation as he posed in a brown corduroy suit at the film’s world premiere in Berlin Nov. 3, completing the makeover with a pair of black-rimmed glasses.
Three days later, Chris’s new look was once again on full display as he posed for pics alongside costars Dwayne Johnson and J.K. Simmons at a photocall in London, sporting a blue denim jacket over an all-black ensemble and switching to a pair of wire-frame specs. Later in the day, he changed into a brown button-down shirt and matching plaid suit jacket for a fan screening event in the city.
In the new action-comedy, Chris plays a bounty hunter who teams up with the head of North Pole security, played by Dwayne, to rescue a kidnapped Santa Claus in time for Christmas. The film, which hits theatres Nov. 15, also stars Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka and Nick Kroll.
Off-screen, the actor is enjoying married life with his wife of one year, Alba. Shortly after their wedding in September 2023—which was reportedly attended by Chris’s fellow Avengers Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner—the Knives Out star couldn’t help but gush about the ceremony.
“I got married," Chris told fans at New York Comic Con the following month. "It was really, really great. We kind of had two ceremonies. We had one on the East Coast, we did one in Portugal—my wife's Portuguese. Yeah, yeah! Go Portugal!”
And while Chris is notoriously attached to his beloved rescue dog Dodger, he had a good reason for leaving his four-legged BFF out of his wedding plans.
“I don't think we could've trusted it,” Chris told E! News in August. “He's too excited, too much of a social butterfly.”
“He would have wanted to say hello to every single person,” he added. “And yeah, he probably would've stolen the show.”

The two tied the knot in an intimate Massachusetts ceremony.
Both actors attended the premiere of Chris' new film Ghosted...
...but did not pose for photos together.
In February 2023, the Avengers actor posted a series of pictures and videos of himself and Alba in honor of Valentine's Day. The two were seen hiking, kissing, traveling, carving pumpkins, and playing with Dodger.
Chris made his relationship with Alba Instagram official by posting a video montage of the two in 2023.
The Marvel actor and the Warrior Nun star began dating in mid-2021, according to multiple reports. But rumors of their romance didn't surface until the following November, when they were spotted walking together in New York City.
