Tammy Slaton has a new ‘do.
The 1000-Lb. Sisters star is continuing her transformation journey with a new haircut that she showed off on social media.
Alongside a video—aptly soundtracked to Tinashe’s “Nasty”— which showed off the various angles of her new style, Tammy captioned her Aug. 3 TikTok, “New hair cut.”
Tammy’s trim had her light brown hair falling just below her earlobes, with side swept bangs and wavy curls added in the back for extra volume. Naturally, Tammy’s followers weren’t holding back their admiration for the 38-year-old’s new hairstyle.
“Looking great Tammy,” one fan wrote. “Keep it up, girl!”
Others applauded the reality star for her self-improvement journey, with one noting, “All of your hard work is showing!”
Tammy—who stars alongside 36-year-old sister Amy Slaton Halterman on their TLC series—has kept her fans up-to-date on her health journey after losing 440 pounds following her 2022 bariatric surgery.
In April, the TLC star hit the pool with her and her sister’s new pal Haley Michelle and showed off her swimsuit look—donning a navy blue and metallic swimsuit for a poolside snap, looking as happy as ever with the psychic medium.
And while she’s happy to show off her new look, Tammy is not taking any hate. In January, she politely clapped back at critics of her post-weight loss appearance.
"With all due respect, I wish people would stop commenting crap like this,” she said in a TikTok at the time, in response to a user criticizing her teeth. “It's not helping my confidence. I was trying to keep my confidence boosted and seeing comments about my chin or my teeth doesn't help none.”
As Tammy put it, “I know this is a hate comment, but that doesn’t make it right—why can’t you appreciate that I’m still alive?”
Tammy continues to better herself and the life around her every day. Keep reading for a closer look at her wellness journey.
Since 2020, TLC viewers have watched Tammy Slaton's journey on 1000-lb Sisters. She underwent bariatric surgery in mid-2022 and since then, fans have continued to witness her transformation on TV and on social media. As of December 2023, she has lost 440 pounds and weighs about 285.
The reality star shared a snap of herself in a floral print dress on Instagram in June.
That same month, Tammy posted a group photo with her brother Chris Combs and YouTuber Chelcie Lynn.
On July 1, Tammy mourned the death of her husband Caleb Willingham. "Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much," she wrote on Instagram alongside throwback photos, "thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness."
Tammy stopped for a series of bathroom selfies, shared on Instagram Aug. 25.
Tammy proudly posed for an Instagram selfie in jeans Oct. 18.
Tammy posted this video on TikTok in January 2024.
After she shared new selfies in April 2024, her weight loss surgeon, Dr. Eric Smith, commented, "You are killing it!"
Tammy included in her update a pic of herself with her cat, Chocolate.
